Not gonna lie, the insecurities of being hairy still sometimes sneak back into my concious. Just in fact this past weekend I was booked for a GoGo gig and not only was I harierest one there (I always am) BUT I was the ONLY hairy one! Everyone else was clean shaven and at most a few hairs on their beard. For a split second it made me insecure again like I used to back when i used to shave it all off. But something in me kicked back in and said “fuck that! This is who I am and that’s not gonna change!” We’ll cut to not moments later a man came up to me, shook my hand and literally no joke said “Thank you for not shaving. I’ve never gotten to see a man like you out here” and he had such a happy smile on his face! 🤗
I don’t shave because I’m proud of my fur but now a part of me doesn’t shave because of how happy I see it makes guys when I meet them 😊
