Are you celebrating International women’s day? Today, March 8th all around the world every woman and human being should be celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD)! Do you know why IWD is celebrated on March 8 every year? It is a movement for women's rights. After the Socialist Party of America organized a Women's Day on February 28, 1909, in New York, the 1910 International Socialist Woman's Conference suggested a Women's Day be held annually on March 8th! This day is to help nations worldwide eliminate discrimination against women. Today is a global day that celebrates women's social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. #TBT Post in 2019 I was in Cambodia and Vietnam, where I was traveling for a month, and they were also celebrating IWD today. It’s exciting to see other countries getting involved and being part of such a movement and a special day. What are you doing today to celebrate International Women’s Day? Every year there is a theme for IWD. 2019 was #BalanceforBetter. Balance drives a better working world and a more inspirational world all around. We are celebrating women's social, economic, cultural, and political achievements, but focusing on teaching and understanding what gender balance is? This campaign #balanceforbetter does not end today. We should be celebrating everyone every day. My goal is to start my #votingissexy campaign. We all have a spicy voice, and each one of us could make a difference by speaking our words through blogging, videos, photos, events, books, friends, coworkers, family, and more. Think about your family, your kids, your grandchildren. We are celebrating our lives for our future but mostly for the ones before us, especially those after us. Please learn more about IWD and remember to register to vote and start your campaign or join one that brings you joy and passion. Love you spicy ones. Xoxo DR #drresa
