Hi friends! As we get closer to the end of the year, I wanted to thank you for making this journey a worthwhile one. It's worth the time and effort to make you smile and see you happy. Given the circumstances of the world, being happy isn't as easy as it used to be.



I wanted you to know that, no matter how well we know each other, I'm proud of you for making it through this year. You're a survivor. A fighter. And together we'll keep fighting to survive despite it seeming like all odds are against us.



I'm proud that you're here despite all the pain, loss, and hardship you've struggled through. We've lost jobs, people, parts of our lives, and even parts of ourselves through the process. The way you feel right now, is completely valid. You deserve better than this. We all do.



So as we head into the last couple of weeks, I will be taking some time to focus on my vanilla job, since I have an understanding manager who's willing to approve overtime, and I need those funds for my wisdom tooth surgery next year.



What that means for you, though, doesn't change much, I'm still going to be posting new content everyday on this page, but I will be harder to reach via DMs until after January 5. If you send me a message, it isn't anything personal if I don't reply right away. I will respond when I return!



While I'm away, I'm also really excited to be teaching a new machine learning course next semester at my university, so I'm planning to spend time with my professor going over the online course material and preparing for my students.



Last thing, a few people have asked me about Christmas presents. As someone who grew up in a family that often didn't afford presents, I ask you to please make a donation to a local organization, charity, or non-profit cause of your choice.



I like to cross-reference my donations with a site called Charity Watch, which evaluates the integrity of organizations and ensures the money you donate goes towards the actual cause itself.



This year, I personally chose St. Jude Children's Research Hospital which helps families with children diagnosed with cancer. I've lost many family members this way, and any research that goes towards a brighter future is something worth contributing to.



So, thank you, again, for being so supportive and caring towards me. I honestly don't deserve this much from anyone, but you've all shown me that you're givers. Thank you and happy holidays!
