It’s National Poetry Month. I used to write a lot more poetry and even went to a few poetry slams including one at the The Olde Vienna Kaffeehaus in Westborough, MA in the ‘90s where I performed this poem—a reaction I had to three poems I’d heard at the previous slam I attended where three poets used a term all too common in my daily speech but one I’d never used in a prior poem. #nationalpoetrymonth #slampoet
