💧🚿🚰I am open and in a position to unlearn what has been taught to me incorrectly.👩🏽🏫👩🏽🎓 • I have rejected @blkdickmatterss request to move here for YEARS. So much of my fear to live in a different country stems from what America and Americans have taught me by sharing their experiences. Or worst, sharing what they have heard other people repeat. The horror in that is, if you listen and receive too much, it will shape your openness to fuck around and find out for yourself. • ***Is it safe to drink tap water in Mexico?*** 🚱No — Mexican Locals drink bottled water. Tap water in Mexico is not safe to drink for anyone, so no one drinks straight tap water in Mexico. Since locals don't want to get sick just as much as you don't want to get sick, there will be no instance when someone will serve or offer you tap water. ***What is the problem with Mexico's water?*** The challenges include water scarcity in certain parts of the country; inadequate drinking water quality and wastewater treatment, and poor technical and commercial efficiency of most utilities. ***Can you brush your teeth with tap water in Mexico?*** 🪥🦷Residents in Mexico may brush their teeth with tap water, but they'll rinse and spit, careful not to swallow. As a tourist, you may be better off taking the precaution of using bottled water to brush your teeth, and do try to remember to keep your mouth shut when you shower. ***What to do if you accidentally drink water in Mexico?*** 😌Don't panic! In most cases, a simple Pepto-Bismol or Imodium pill or two can work wonders. Another thing to consider is taking along a preemptive antibiotic prescription should you accidently drink or ingest tap water. Mexico has an ABUNDANCE of pharmacies that don’t require prescriptions and offer a plethora of options. I’ve attached a photo of one of the most locally suggested. It’s called LOXCELL and locals take it roughly every 6 months to help cleanse any impurities in the body.
