Good evening!! So I’ve had a lot ask about how my competition went so I thought I do a detailed run down here for those who are interested!

The day didn’t go as originally planned as I’d come down with tonsillitis two days before and was ONLY just well enough to even make it 😅
Me and my coach decided to drop all the opening weights as we weren’t really sure what I’d be able to hit on the day and could go up for seconds and third if things went well!

***SQUAT***
Original plan was to open on 112.5kg but we opened on 105kg aaaaaand I failed the first one on depth (was shaking like a leaf 😂) but we decided to try the weight again for the second and I got it! Then I begged my coach to put 120kg on the bar as this would match my gym PB and I don’t know how but I managed it 😂

***BENCH***
Felt very good tbh but the blocks I was provided to put my feet on we’re slightly higher than I was used to so my positioning was off (lesson for next time)! I got 60kg then 67.5kg then we tried to a PB of 72.5kg which I got up and locked out but as I was shaking getting it up there was fractional downward motion so was red lighted 🥺 bit gutted about this as the strength was there.

***DEADLIFT***
Again went very conservative for opener! 115kg to start which FLEW! So went 130kg which was speedy however the temptation to PB was too strong so we decided to send it and wack 140kg on the bar which I got off the floor but strength wasn’t there!

Ended up with a very respectful 317.5kg total, won my weight class and qualified for British National championships. It was the best day I could have hoped for given the circumstances 😅 A little disappointing as I was originally looking at around 330 kg total BUT watch me blow that number out of the water at British 😎

Thank you if you’ve managed to read this far! I’ll post pictures once I get my hands on the professional ones! ❤️
