Flaming Dr. Pepper in Piper's Bar 🔥
There's no Dr. Pepper in it!

Though it still has some resemblances to the 23 flavour recipe. Much like the Long Island Iced Tea does not contain iced tea but still tastes like so. The Flaming Dr. Pepper has amaretto which gives it sweetness and almond flavour. The overproof rum adds some caramel notes, and finally, for the bubbles, a cool beer.

You probably heard of it or even drank it in college if you are from Texas. As did Beavis Wallace, who ordered this cocktail from Piper's Bar with a message mentioning: I used to get these during my college party days in Acuna, Mexico.

Which Overproof Rum?
Why not regular rum? The overproof rum has higher alcohol, making it highly flammable and creating a better pyrotechnic show for your audience.

Texas VS New Orleans
These two different states have something in common. They both claim to have invented the Flaming Dr. Pepper. Were you around in the 1980s when the drink came out? And were you in one of these states? If yes, don't hesitate to share your frat party story in the comments below.

Ingredients
8 oz beer(half pint)
3/4 oz amaretto
1/4 oz overproof rum

Preparation
Fill a pint glass halfway with beer.
Add the amaretto to a shot glass and top with the rum.
Set the rum on fire and carefully drop the shot glass into the beer. So that the fire extinguishes. Enjoy!
