Piper’s Sausage and Balls

#Piper #Sausage #Balls
Piper makes sausage balls or Takoyaki!!! Not the Japanese version with octopus and bonito. Piper makes an American version of these delicious grilled balls. Super Easy!

Ingredients:
6 Hot Dog sausages, wieners, things filled with meat.
1 onion raw, caramelized or grilled. Chopped super tiny.
1 Dill pickle finely chopped
Tempura, or panko, breadcrumbs or cracker crumbs you found on your couch, or chips. Just make sure they are as fine as breadcrumbs.

Crepe Beer Batter: https:// youtu. be/sJWtijUH6Ic

Topping:
A handful of Grated cheese. It can be cheddar, mozz, Havarti, Monterey Jack or your favourite cheese!
More pickles, Sauerkraut, Diced Jalapeños
Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, Hot Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Spaghetti sauce
Really anything you normally put on your hot dog!!!

Recipe:
Heat the takoyaki pan to 350ºF. Put oil, preferably peanut, in the holes, making sure there’s a good amount. When it smokes pour in your beer batter to fill the holes. Then add 1 sausage piece to each hole. Hurry, while i’s still uncocked. Then sprinkle the breadcrumbs, diced dill pickles and diced onions.

When you see the batter is starting to cook on the sides turn your balls about 90 degrees. And make sure stuff in the edges in as you are turning. It’s normal if the batter overflows as it’s not yet cooked inside, that's how you create the ball! Keep turning your ball about every minute to make sure they cook evenly and that they don’t burn. You can also swap your balls' positions to make sure they cook more evenly. You can get them brown and crispy!

When done transfer takoyaki balls onto a plate and pour over the mustard, mayonnaise. Finish them off with grated cheese, sauerkraut and pickled jalapeño. Serve immediately!!! But don’t eat yet, they stay super hot inside! The perfect food for football or appetizers with friends!
