I’ve just found out that my best friend has been sleeping ON THE FLOOR for the past 15 months since she gave up her bed for her father when he fell ill. Shortly after this, he passed away in that bed so she got rid of it. Due to the expenses of her father’s care and then funeral expenses, and then her mum passing away just a few months later, she has never been able to afford to replace her bed. I’m only just finding this out because I’ve not been able to visit her since covid lockdowns, and she’s been too proud to mention it. Anyway.
