Hey y'all
I just got scheduled to have a second migraine surgery - last surgery in April was the supraorbital and temporal areas (front) and this time I have to get the occipital nerves (back of my head) released. My surgery will be October 3rd and I may not be able to shoot for 6 -8 weeks. The surgeon said this one's a tougher recovery than last time, but it can't be worse than getting that plate and 8 screws in my neck, a couple years ago, right? The migraines improved a lot with the last surgery, but this one is to try to get rid of the constant vertigo that I've been dealing with for the last decade.
Getting old is not for the faint of heart, but it's better than the alternative. Ha ha.
Anyway, my point is not to garner sympathy - just wanted to let you know I have enough content built up so that I'll still be posting new videos during that time like I always do. I just won't be able to make any custom videos in October and part of November. And I probably won't answer messages too quickly and/or coherently those first few days after. Anesthesia and me don't get along well.
As always, I really appreciate your support and always try to make sure you all get fresh content from me no matter what is going on in my life. I am very thankful to have work that is flexible enough to work around things like this and my disability in general. The vertigo has been so limiting. There's no guarantee this will fix it, but it's my only option for a cure rather than a management strategy. Wish me luck!!
