Plant baby announcement!

I have started my first flat for the spring. This year since I plan to have them inside for months, I strung up Christmas lights to keep them growing upwards and healthy! I also used construction paper dividers, so the roots can grow uninhibited by plastic cell walls.
Many of my plants are from Ukrainian sellers whose gardens have since been INTENTIONALLY flattened by tanks. Many more came from Russian sellers that are now cut off from the western world.
This feels like a sacred possibility. Many of the plants like walking Lyubasha garlic are virtually impossible to find for sale outside of Russia and Ukraine, and I'm confident I'm the only one in town with any of these seeds.
I will be preserving heirloom seeds from most if not all of my hard-to-find seeds. Who knows how long the war will last.
