so here’s the deal

your ‘skin cycle’ is the process where the cells at the deepest layers of the epidermis work their way up to the surface of the skin

the amount of time it takes for this process to complete is, on average, 28 days. but there are a lot of factors and the process actually slows as you age

I wissshhhhhhhh there was a quick fix for ingrown hairs or acne, but the fact of the matter is... everything with your skin is a p r o c e s s and most of the time we have to figure out what’s going to work for YOUR skin annd THENN we’ve got to trouble shoot any possible skincare mistakes you could be making or improving. yeah. process.

my client ⬆️has seen a lot of improvement over this last month by increasing the amount she is exfoliating. she estimated that she’d been using her scrub about 4 times a week this time around. before the first picture, it was happening 1-2x a week

remember — this area needs specific attention and treatment because of its natural sensitivity AND in consideration of the hair thinning that happens with waxing. the exfoliating technique and frequency will be different than you would ever use to approach problem-areas on your face, for example.

I recommended her to shoot for 5-6 days a week this round and to make sure her skin was damp, but not wet or under running water when she applied because the salt will dissolve in the stream

I’m excited to see how her skin progresses moving forward! Eeek so fun I love pubie skincare talk

if you haven’t picked up your duo yet, do it now before your appt 🥰for better results but also because we sold out of our salon inventory for the third time now 😅 sorry Lorna hahaha you’re the best
