Update on Victoria Newman:  She is still walking about and eating, despite serious kidney failure, but she is no longer washing herself, her usually bright white feet and chest are now greying. 
Being semi-feral, any attempt to groom her results in getting attacked, unless she is greatly sedated, which we try to only rarely do. But she allows  us to pet and kiss her head. She remembers love, somewhere before the abuse/neglect...
