When you're on a date, and the bill/check comes after a meal. What do you do? What is your protocol? These questions are for anyone and everyone. Do you pay the bill/do you go dutch on your first date? Do you offer to see what the man respond? What is the usual in 2019 when you go on a date? Do they ask you out ahead of time?  Is it always on their time?  I was on a date recently, and he was handsome, flirty, holding my hand. It was nice. We met at one wine bar; he got the bill. I said, thank you. We decided to go to another bar. We shared a glass ( I did not have my own.) We shared another and ordered an appetizer. This was not a friend kind of date. He was interested in coming home with me.
