October Scary Movie Features #12 

AS ABOVE SO BELOW

An interesting premise with some amazing execution and cinematography that provides a feeling of claustrophobia but falls apart in the end 

Such promise . Heard a lot about this one so finally got around to watching it . An archeologist believes that a mysterious artifact is hidden deep in the catacombs beneath Paris so her and her team venture down below in search of it . 

You hear stories of these people getting stuck in caves unable to be rescued and the camera serves as a POV for the audience as the characters move in and around these underground caverns running into dead ends, incredibly tight spaces as well as traps . They also stumble across some other groups inside the caves that were some of the creepiest moments of the movie 

There was a lot of potential and for the first hour or so it’s completely gripping but the resolution just seems to happen so quickly and without much consequence I wasn’t even sure the movie was actually over . 

It wasn’t horrible or even bad , just didn’t live up to the hype or potential
