When I was a youngster my parents would tell me 🫣”Cover your eyes!”🫣 whenever any sexual activity occurred between actors on screen. My cue would be when they started “sucking face”—their words, not mine. To this day that phrase makes me spiritually retch. Why they didn’t tell me to also cover my ears, I can’t say. Joke’s on them though, as it only encouraged my vivid imagination and curiosity, even leading to my lifelong questioning of the so-called “morality” of everything. (e.g. why is it bad for ME if EVERYBODY does it???🙄)
