Who wants to fly like a spread eagle?? Warning, long rant/read ahead. If you need something to read in the bathroom this would be perfect!
Apparently I have arrived. I am ***so popular*** that I have been accused of BUYING UPVOTES on Reddit (didn't even know this existed) and I have been permanently banned from a collection of subreddits that are affiliated with each other. Yes, it's true. Btw, I say "so popular" in jest, I don't feel that way at all.
I'm going to give you a little behind the scenes peek how promotion works and the frustration of trying to promote this page for me. So the only way I promote is through Reddit. Other girls do X, Insta, Reels, Facebook, Tiktok.... I do Reddit. I don't know how to do the others and frankly I don't know that I'd want to put in more time at another platform. Reddit takes enough time.
Promoting is the worst part of doing this. Paid subscriber here come and go alot so there is a constant need to find more just to maintain what you have. Growth is VERY slow. Just in the last few hours here I've lost over 10 subscribers that chose not to renew. It's fine, I get it. But I've gained 15 or so new subs in the last 24hrs so I have actually gained a net of +5 today. But a few days ago I lost over 30 to non-renewal. So from that point to where I am now I'm actually at a -27. So it's always like 1 step forward, 2 steps back or vice versa. As I said, growth is slow. And the only way you grow is to promote.
I don't post at Reddit every day. Sometimes I'll go a day or 2 without. Some days I'll post a few times, some days like today I'll post 20+ times. I have a pretty large list of various genres and try to spread it around so as not to over post at any 1 particular place. And I'm always looking for some new subreddits to use that I think work well for me.
Alot of subreddits are affiliated with each other. Let's say I post on Boobs (and I think I have), there generally is a bot that will comment on your post and say "thanks for posting, try one of our other pages BigTits, Nipples, Areolas...." or what have you. So sometimes that's how I find new pages to try.
Also many, many pages require verification. Verification generally requires posting 3 pictures with a piece of paper showing your user name, the date, and the subreddit name. I'll just say that I've have tried to verify at like 30 different subreddits that require it and have been approved at about 3. The other 27 requests just went completely unanswered. And even a 2nd try at those proved to be a waste of time. So I tend to try to stay away from pages that require verification. And most bigger pages do require it, so it's nice to find a new one that's large that doesn't require it.
So today I posted 2 pictures on a page called FeetToesAndSocks. I had posted there previously a few times with no issues and had a moderate amount of feedback (upvotes and comments) but nothing that big as that genre really isn't my wheelhouse. Well the bot suggested "try posting in SpreadEagle." So I clicked it and saw it was very sizable, 435k follower so. So I posted the above picture and thankfully it wasn't immediately deleted.
Immediate delete happens when you need to be verified, yet the page doesn't mention it at all in the rules. You'd think they would just put in big bold letters YOU MUST BE VERIFIED TO POST HERE but they don't for whatever reason. So you really have no idea until you post and it's immediately deleted ππ I have posted hundreds of times on pages that were immediately deleted because there was no indication you needed verified. So when my post at SpreadEagle went live I was happy and I went on about my day.
I posted about 25x today on a variety of pages there. And I check back occasionally to see how the posts are doing. Today was kind of slow honestly, nothing really took off that much. Well I noticed my post in FeetToesAndSocks and SpreadEagle had been deleted (that little red trash can icon). So I sent a modmail asking about it. Usually ANY TIME you send modmail asking about anything you just don't hear back. Ever.
So an hour or so later I got a reply. I opened it and honestly couldn't believe what I read. This is exactly what it said:
***Posts were removed by a bot for purchased upvotes.***
WTF!?!? This is insane. So of course I replied. Can I get an explanation? I have never even heard of buying upvotes and I assure you I have never done this. Ever.
Not expecting an answer at all I got one:
***So how are you top post in almost all the subs you recently posted to minus a few where you're second top post?***
Wow! Wow wow wow. So it went from "a bot deleted it" to pure speculation that just because some of my posts today were at or near the top of the list for Top post in the last 24hr in that particular subreddit I must be gaming the system and buying votes. With ZERO proof of anything other than just them thinking I did it they deleted my post because I had too many upvotes. At that time my post had 90 upvotes. The top post of the day had near 400. But I was the one effectively cheating?? And even at 90 upvotes on that picture there were 8 other posts with more. But I was the one that was buying votes?
So I replied again "I have never done this. Can you do a manual check because the bot is wrong. I have never bought votes, I didn't even know that existed. I can't explain who upvotes what. Generally I stick to pages I've done well in, I post similar content as I have previously that's done well, and (I love this part) I try to use unique, funny and clever titles besides "My husband doesn't want me, will you fuck me?"
Side note, I HATE titles like that. Hate hate hate. "Would you fuck a 40yr old divorced mom?" that looks like a fitness model? Gee, I don't know. Or "If you say yes I'll send you nudes." Ya, right, sure you will. I like to sometimes make fun of those. Once I posted "Say yes and I won't sent you anything" π π
So back to the story. After my last message miraculously I noticed my post at SpreadEagle was no longer deleted. So I thought maybe the mod realized they were wrong and my reason was plausible. Well that thrill of that victory didn't last long.
A little while later I got another message:
***Pretending you don't know what buying upvotes is doesn't mean you don't do it and it's very obvious that you do. If you continue to deny it youll just be muted.***
Then 5min later I was subsequently and unceremoniously permanently banned from SpreadEagle, FeetToesAndSocks, and a handful of their other subreddits.
So there you have it, folks. The secret to my success is buying votes. π Im mad and amused and dumbfounded all at once.
I know that was long but I thought you might like a little insight on the insane wild west BS that goes on at Reddit when trying to promote my page here.
