**"Weirdo obsessed with throwing things away."** πŸ“–πŸŽ§πŸ”‰πŸ§
Taking a break from podcasts and giving my audiobook collection a dabble. As a minimalist who also loves throwing things away *(throwing, recycling, donating, etc.),* I was happy to hear a some good tips on deciding what to throw out *(more or less reminders of things that make sense).* The quote by *Chuck Palahniuk* in *Fight Club, β€œThe things you own end up owning you.”* The justification of what *"things"* really cost us in physical space, mental space, upkeep, cleaning, time, etc. Easy workarounds for areas where we may come up with excuses as to why we don't think we should go without something. The concept that the appreciation of things is short lived once; we get used to them, the stimulus wears off, we start to get tired or bored, and/or once it becomes normal part of our lives *(a phycological phenomenon that ties to addiction and can be related to anything from substances, things, activities, relationships, etc).*

So far I'd say it's a good listen, logical perspectives and has useful tips to help declutter. πŸ€™πŸΌ
