There are two FaceApp edits to make me look younger because it’s an attempted in character pose as fifteen-year-old Mikayla Astralis from my third novel, The Other Side Of Life. She prefers to be called Mik. Mikayla is a name that she was given when she lived in Winter House, before being adopted at eleven by Illayne Astralis. Illayne was heavily pregnant when she adopted Mik and after her son Lucas was born, Mik took her school work home for six months so that she could help Illayne with Lucas until Illayne could manage him by herself.
