Exercise: Exploring a new sexual mantra.

This exercise helps to make a personal mantra of desire, pleasure, eroticism, and satisfaction.

❤️Do you find it easier to write, or to speak about sexuality?

The important thing is to own these experiences. To explore them, and share them with whom you feel comfortable, so that what you value and what makes a sexual experience satisfying for you is understood.

This exercise requires emotional courage, transparency, and vulnerability. Do not be vague, shy, or inhibited. Allow yourself to be sexually known. This enhances trust in yourself, your partner(s), and your sexual relationship(s). This is particularly important if your sexual interests are considered atypical, or socially unacceptable.

Sexuality is complex and individualistic. We are not clones of each other.

❤️When did you most value desire, pleasure eroticism, and experience the highest level of satisfaction?

Scenarios might include: Taking a bath and having a glass of wine, using lotion to enhance body massage, mutual body rubs while listening to your favorite music, sexual experiences shared under a ceiling of mirrors, touching at 3am in a room lit by the dim lights of a Christmas tree, or making out in a parked car for hours as the sun rises.

A critical learning is that other people's experiences and what they value are different from your own.

❤️What are your goals for the present and the future, to enhance desire, pleasure, eroticism and satisfaction?

Do not set romantic Hollywood goals, or crazy porn goals. Set positive, realistic goals which you are personally committed to.

A common desire goal is to increase the frequency of sensual and playful touching with the hope that this becomes a bridge to desire.

❤️For you, what is the key to sexual desire?
❤️Do you engage in non-demand pleasuring for itself?
❤️What strategies and techniques work in your sex life?
