We were supposed to foster her for 2 weeks, after being told she was an indoor  cat, was and friendly to others. 

In reality, she was an outdoor cat with evidence of fleas, kidney failure, fluid in her abdomen, deformed/injured and atrophied hind quarters,  a large fluid filled cyst on her neck. plus vicious to the other cats, and us if we dared groom her. 

Thus started the routine of daily tranquilizers, weekly cyst draining via syringe, breaking up fights, nail cutting, and monthly dreadlock/hair mat  removal which took 2-3 hours each time.

When we offered to deliver her home after the 2 weeks were up, we were told "It's okay". That night, she lay on my pillow, after I reassured her that this will be her forever home. It was the only time she did that. 

2 +1/2 years later, she finally became calmer, trusted us, and affectionate.
I had said : "By the time she trusts and loves humans again, it will be too late".

Vykie taught us patience, sacrifice, dedication, even when being scratched and bitten. We taught her unconditional love, and that some humans can really be counted on to do good.

The heirarchy was wildly disrupted by this new terrorist cat,  and Ziggy was triggered into high anxiety and carpet marking. For the humans, non-stop peacekeeping, vacuuming, steam cleaning, and thousands in vet care, etc.

She went in Ziggy's space capsule, thanks to dear rescuers Nancy Botting Harrison , Grace O Harrison and Violet James. 

As they injected her, I looked into her golden eyes, wondering about all the unknown trauma a suffering she endured, which she could never tell. She drifted away from physical pain, as I kissed her forehead and told her: 
"Now you will know Master of The Universe, Marley, Tiger, Tiffany etc.

Victoria Newman wore a skull and crossbones collar, all that was missing was spikes and a leather jacket. It will be returned to me with her ashes.

Thanks to all of you who supported us through this most difficult relationship, which became a great test, and we passed.
